TL;DR – Your Privacy Opt-Out Rights
If you live in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" of your personal data and of targeted advertising. We offer the same choice to residents of Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do disclose website activity data to advertising platforms for targeted advertising, which these laws may treat as a "sale" or "targeted advertising."
You may opt out at any time by emailing policies@newenglandmetalroofing.com, calling 1-866-733-5811, using our Cookie Consent Tool, or broadcasting a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser.
This right applies to the cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies used for advertising.
1. What “Sell” or “Share” Means
Under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, the New Hampshire Privacy Act, the Rhode Island Data Transparency and Privacy Protection Act, and similar state laws:
- "Sale" means the exchange of personal data for money or other valuable consideration with a third party
- "Targeted advertising" means showing you ads based on your activity over time across unaffiliated websites or apps
This may include technologies such as cookies, pixels, and tracking tools used for advertising. The third parties involved are listed in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
2. Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you have the right to:
- Opt out of the sale of your personal data
- Opt out of targeted advertising and of profiling used for significant decisions
- Withdraw consent to the processing of sensitive data
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data
See Section 11 of our Privacy Policy for the rules in your state.
3. Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. This means we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you opted out or made a request.
4. Household Requests
In certain cases, we may process requests related to household data in accordance with applicable law.
5. Verification Process
Opt-out requests do not require identity verification, but we may ask for enough information to locate your records. Requests to access, correct or delete data are verified before we act on them.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing policies@newenglandmetalroofing.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within 60 days and, if the appeal is denied, tell you how to contact your state Attorney General.
6. Authorized Agents & Global Privacy Control (GPC)
You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of your written authorization.
We recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale of personal data and of targeted advertising, including for residents of Connecticut and New Hampshire. Opt-outs sent through a browser signal do not require additional verification.
7. Effect of Your Request
After opting out:
Your data will not be used for targeted advertising
Advertising tracking and data sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising will be limited or disabled
Some website functionality may be affected
8. How to Submit a Request
You may submit your request by:
• Email: policies@newenglandmetalroofing.com
• Company: Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc. / I.E.L. Manufacturing Ltd.
We will respond to verified requests within 45 days, or as otherwise required by applicable law.
Your opt-out preferences will be applied in conjunction with our Cookie Policy and consent management tools.
